Q What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a branch of government where its members are not democratically elected? Would you change the way federal judges are selected?
In case a branch of government is not democratically selected there can be a number of advantages and disadvantage at the same time. The democratic system means that is at the center position and they have the power to elect their leaders. The judicial branch holds an important position in almost all the countries and it is a major part of democracy. In case the members are not democratically selected there can be some advantages too.
